South Australia’s flagship hydrogen development has entered front-end engineering and design, marking a key transition from concept planning to delivery detail.
The phase will evaluate electrolyser sizing, renewable integration, storage options and pipeline interfaces for industrial users.
Officials said priority will be given to reliable long-term offtake contracts, particularly in sectors where electrification alone is not sufficient.
The project team expects FEED outcomes to support final investment decisions and procurement planning over the next 12 months.
