Queensland has approved a major high-voltage transmission connector designed to strengthen power flows between high-growth renewable regions and demand centres.
Network modelling indicates the link will reduce renewable curtailment risk and improve system flexibility during high-output periods.
Developers said increased transfer capacity is critical for unlocking the next stage of utility-scale wind and solar investment.
Construction works are expected to begin after final procurement and land access milestones are completed.
